Our Ballot is a portal for any association or organisation to conduct free and fair elections online. Your voters can cast their votes securely from any location through a mobile or computer, all they need is access to an internet connection.

Process

Elections Announced

  • The association or organization announces elections on their website
  • A link to enter nominations is provided for a certain period of time
  • Candidates announce their candidature on the Our Ballot platform where they add their details – Position / Name / Photo / Description / CV
  • After nominations close there is a time period provided for withdrawal of nominations
  • The Electoral Officer(EO) scrutinizes and approves / rejects candidates
  • Post approval of candidates – election dates are announced on the website of the concerned association / organization

Voting Process

  • The link for voting is displayed on the association website. It may also be sent to all registered voters through SMS/e-mail
  • Voting is done through a 2 factor authentication

  • A voter may choose a candidate or submit his vote without any selection (in case of abstaining)
  • On submission a voter will get a confirmatory SMS that their vote has been successfully cast at a said date and time
  • An email can be triggered to those who have not yet cast their ballot during the course of the elections
  • After voting closes on the given date the results can be viewed by the EO and then displayed on the website
  • The number of Ballots cast during the election can also be displayed
